Futurescapes-2019 is a video art work originally created for continuous loop via the animated GIF format. The piece consists of a “futurescape” hybrid of down-town NYC city witnessed in dream. The changes in light and temperature act as a metaphor for life.
The subtle gradient transitions display a breathing of sorts in a world in constant flux..
Static iterations were made via the Glitche’ app for iOS using the “data bend” filter. Further manipulations were made in adobe photoshop using various compositions and color schemes. I feel like working on these image more and adding to this blog post as they evolve. I will take some specific photos in various place in the city to build upon and juxtapose the compositions further.
