The Ryan Seslow Museum of Art & Design presents the Reality Engine Models. An interactive browser-based exhibition featuring a collection of experimental 3D spatial works developed from Ryan Seslow’s long-running drawing, painting, typography, graffiti, and digital abstraction practices.
The exhibition presents twenty interactive volumetric models that viewers can rotate, inspect, isolate, and explore directly within the browser through real-time 3D rendering systems. Each object functions simultaneously as sculpture, drawing, interface, artifact, and spatial experiment.
Nearly all of the works originated as flat 2D compositions before being translated into dimensional form through a hybrid workflow utilizing Adobe Illustrator, Blender, Adobe Dimension, Meshy.ai, and additional spatial computing tools. The resulting models preserve traces of their original line work, graphic structures, gestural language, and compositional tension while evolving into fully navigable spatial entities.
The project explores the transformation of static images into active volumetric systems capable of existing across browser space, augmented reality environments, virtual reality platforms, mixed reality installations, and future spatial computing ecosystems.
Rather than treating 3D as simulation alone, Reality Engine Models positions dimensional translation as an extension of drawing itself. Forms become architectural, behavioral, symbolic, and spatially responsive. Some models retain recognizable figurative structures while others drift toward synthetic objects, abstract machine forms, speculative monuments, fragmented interfaces, and impossible sculptures existing between digital artifact and physical presence.
The exhibition also serves as an active research platform connected to Ryan Seslow’s broader investigations surrounding AREMES, Reality Engine, immersive environments, spatial archives, and browser-native exhibition systems.
Viewers are encouraged to move through the exhibition non-linearly, isolate individual works, manipulate perspective, and experience each entity as both object and interface within an evolving spatial archive.
