Writing Graffiti has taught me more about drawing and the use of line than any of my drawing teachers ever did (except Steven Einsidler & Seung Lee who simply encouraged everything ) the repetition and fast immediacy of writing a tag puts one in a position to not judge the image itself but to focus on the gesture and flow of the lines. Get in and get out. Fast forward 20 plus years and the synthesis of personalization and the development of a style makes it more fun than ever.
