A little gallery of new GIF animations worked from public domain images, videos and motion graphics. The Internet itself as an Archive is a fantastic repository of inspiration. There are tons of public domain license free resources that allow for reuse and modification. I have a nice list of stuff on my ART642 class resources page over on the course website. Have a look, click HERE. Remixing and reusing “existing-ness” breathes new life into our culture. When we rework it, we turn it into more. Not only visually but all contextually, psychologically, and metaphorically.
It would be fun to teach a course purely on Remix one day….Im sure Michael Branson Smith agrees!
