Do you introduce the value of artistic collaboration in your classroom?

I do each and every semester. This is a large #ephemeral #drawing completed by my 2D Design students at CUNY QCC here in NYC. Students discovered contrasts and various ways of working with both implied and arbitrary line, scale, texture and materiality. Its not as easy to control chalk as a drawing medium in comparison to a fine tip marker on smaller scale. Line control takes practice.

Its uses are expansive and have the power to create visual textures simply by alternating its gauge and direction.

This is also an example of an ephemeral art form.
