The Only Video of My Drawing Process on the Blockchain (2021)

Looking back from 2025, I see this work as one of the most important moments in my crypto-art / blockchain practice. “Mr. Four” is the only video I ever minted of myself drawing in real time. It captures the immediacy of my line-based graffiti characters, gestural, intuitive, alive. This piece stands apart because it documents not just a finished artwork, but the act of creation itself. In many ways, it foreshadowed today’s discussions about provenance, process, and authenticity in crypto art. By linking the NFT to the physical drawing, I was also experimenting early with bridging digital and material worlds. This work now feels like a keystone artifact in my archive, a reminder of how a few lines can hold an entire story.

“Mr. Four” on SuperRare

“Mr. Four” is a 1/1 edition process video being offered as an NFT! This is my first ever minted process video. The video is a direct peek into the process of my daily drawing practice. Im incredibly attracted lines and how fluid and stylized they can be. I have been drawing these characters for over 30 years! Every drawing is different, intuitive and immediate. As you can see, it takes a few seconds, usually under a minute! A few lines can say much more than words, lines are gestural, lines are movement, lines are directional and lines are accessible.
