For more than ten years I have made finished works of art directly inside the web browser, composed live on the open canvas of whatever platform offered one. I have gathered that work into a single exhibition, and it is open now:

A Decade in the Browser., NET-ART: You can view it here: ryanseslow.com/exhibit/

The show centers on the pieces I built on mmm.page between 2021 and 2025, captured whole and preserved off the platform so they survive it. Beneath the gallery is a memoriam to the two platforms that came before, NewHive and to.be. They were genuinely great and genuinely ahead of their time, run by generous people who handed artists an open memoriam to the two platforms that came before, NewHive and to.be. They were genuinely great and genuinely ahead of their time, run by generous people who handed artists an open canvas in the browser and gave it away for free. Neither could outrun its own growth, and both eventually came apart, with no malice and no villain. The work I made there survives only because I learned, the hard way, to back it up.

That is the whole thesis of this exhibition and of the RSMAD archive around it. A platform is a studio, not a museum. The art outlives the studio only if the artist carries it out. This is me carrying it out, and inviting you in.
